The words “vegan mindfulness retreat” conjure an image of Spartan cells, raw tofu, and severe gurus. My experience of the Transitions retreat was the antithesis of that. Maison La Cerisaie is a beautiful, comfortable chalet and the food was creative, varied and delicious. Under Sally-Anne and Carroll’s gentle guidance, the retreat fed my spirit, mind and body, enabling me to re-charge and re-focus in a stunning corner of France.

Sally-Anne’s Transitions retreat gave me the comfortable space I needed to step back, relax and reflect on what’s important. What better way to do that than in this wonderful environment in the French Alps. I don’t stop very often and it’s been a real joy to take time for myself. I urge everyone to do the same.

My family has had the most amazing time at Maison La Cerisaie. It is a wonderful place to come as a family and just ‘be’. We simply unplugged from all the busy-ness of our everyday lives and did what we love to do – spending time together in outdoor activities (hiking, high ropes, white water rafting, cycling, swimming in the lake) and enjoying the calm and tranquility all around.
This was made even more pleasurable by the stunning scenery, immaculate chalet, exquisite food and Sally-Anne and Simon’s thoughtful input.
We would highly recommend the Unplugged in the Alps retreat to any family, with children of any age, to come and just ‘be’ together.
Amazing. Can’t recommend it highly enough. We will be back.

A holiday with your best friends is always going to be good, but staying with Sally Anne and Simon this week has been just lovely. As well as relaxing in the hot tub, we all pushed ourselves to try new things, from white water rafting to hiking to a mountain refuge.
We’ve had such a wonderful break and we all feel refreshed and ready for the change that is about to happen in our lives, something we owe to the environment created for us here.
As best friends for over a decade, we didn’t think it was possible for us to get closer. But the conversations which arise half way up a mountain where there’s no phone signal are so precious.
Thank you for helping us see our lives and our relationships through a new light.
